Question: I was using citrestrip stripping gel to get paint off a jacket. Now I AM COUGHING MUCUESS AND BLOWING MY NOSE. iT FEELS LIKE A COLD . THIS IS THE SECOND DAY WITH IT. I WAS SPITTING OUT A LOTY OF MUCOUS TUESDAY NIGHT. iS THERE SOMETHING I CAN TAKE. TODAY IT ISN'T AS BAD. I AM JUST BLOWING MY NOSE A LOT.

Brief Answer: hi, allergic rhino bronchitis. Detailed Answer: Hi sir, It seems to be allergic rhino bronchitis probably induced by citrestrip gel. If I were your treating doctor I would prescribe anti histamine - loratidine with mucolytic ambroxol twice a day for a week. I don't think these are over the counter. Your local GP can give you a prescription. Alternatively you can try benadryl and steam inhalation for couple of days before visiting the GP for a prescription. Cold and cough usually takes a week to 15 days to settle. avoid exposure to any other chemical , cold items, oily food. Do steam inhalation and hydrate yourself well. Hope I have answered your query.
