Brief Answer:
Omalizumab and immunotherapy are available.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Best treatment of allergy is identification of allergen and if possible complete avoidance of it.
So first get done allergy testing for identification of allergens.
Common allergens are dust, pollens, animal fur, pollution, smoke etc.
Once identifies, try to avoid them completely.
Newer treatment in the form of omalizumab (anti IgE monoclonal antibody) is available. But it is very costly and not permanent. You have to take regular doses every six monthly.
Immunotherapy is also an emerging treatment option but again cost effectiveness is an issue.
Combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are more beneficial than simple antihistamines.
Fluticasone is more potent than mometasone.
So better to discuss all these with your doctor and start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thank you Doctor. One more thing that I would like to add to it is that, I get cold attacks more frequently when I am in stress. Is stress one of the triggers for it? Kindly guide.

Brief Answer:
Stress is not directly related.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Stress is not directly related to cold.
But in hypersensitive patients (patients in which allergy is seen), stress can be the triggering factor for cold.
Mechanism is unknown but hormonal changes, sympathetic and parasympathetic imbalance are likely cause for stress related cold.
Hope I have solved your query.
