Suggest Treatment For Acne On The Face

Question: Hi Doctor,
I am 32 Years and since 1 years I have started getting pimples on my face that are leaving scars and vey dark scars. Not only this near Nose I have open pores which are visible + I can see dark pigmentation/Tan on fore head.
My life style has changed b4 1 year I use to go for facials etc but after due to work load I have not even gone to Facials in past 6 months.
My skin is DULL and no glow. I use to have markless and shiny skin and now I weep when I see my face full os scars also I get daily new scar as I wake up.

Please help also tell me shall I again start with facials ?

Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I understand your concern and have reviewed the attached photograph.
You are having moderate grade of acne.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take tablet azithromycin 500 mg once daily for 3 consecutive days in a week for 6-8 weeks and apply adapelene 0.1percent gel on the pimples at night.
For marks use broad spectrum sunscreen gel during the day time and depigmenting cream containing kojic acid at night.
Acne is a chronic disease and will take 4-5 months to settle.
These are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.
Don't start with facial immediately.
Let these pimples subside and then you can restart facials.
Otherwise it can cause worsening of your acne problem.

You can apply either kojivit plus cream or kojiglo cream on the affected areas.
Lashield sunscreen gel can be used as a broad spectrum sunscreen.
