Question: Hi I passed a kidney stone back in November of 2015. At the time I was released they gave me instructions to preform at home for fo;;ow up. On the info sheet that I was issued it say's symptom's to seek immediate medical attn. If the pain cant be controlled. 2. Fever develops. 3. Pain continues for more than 48 hours. 4. You develop new onset of abdominal pain. 5. You feel faint or pass out. 6. You develop weakness or numbness in your legs or part of your leg becomes cold or changes color.
As I said they said to seek medical attention if any of these happen. My left leg feels numb like it's asleep? since last night. Should I go to an emergency room ? Given that I passed the stone in November?

Brief Answer:
Yes, but see a Neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

You should go to emergency, but see a neurologist, not urologist since this is not related to your kidney stones. There are few possible causes of this and most common are nerve compression around lumbar spine.

Other causes are less common but may be more serious. in every case it is not usual to have leg numbness suddenly and it should be evaluated.

Wish you good health.
