Suggest Treatment For UTI

Question: I have symptoms of uti since 4days. Burning sensation, abdomen pain and frequent urination especially after a meal. And mainly in the evening. Please recommend medication. I have citralka before food. Any antibiotics?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI.

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic
like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Thank you for your reply doctor. Is there an alternate for cefaxine? It's not available in the nearby pharmacy.... I really need to control this problem today if possible as I have an event to attend.

I got nitrofurantoin - niftas50 and ciprofloxacin hydrochloride - cifran250. So shall I have one each after breakfast and after dinner, till I get my test report? Should I have citralka liquid, before 3meals?
