Question: DEAR SIR,MY SON AGED 14 YEARS IS DIAGNOSED WITH 0.38 POSITIVE REPORT ( TB GOLD ) .WITH ESR..45,PROTEIN IS TRACED,PUS CELLS..5-6,RBCS OCCASIONAL..CRYSTALS..CALCIUM OXALATE PRESENT AND OTHER..MUCUS THREAD. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN SIR. DEAR SIR IAM SCARREDDOCTOR HAS ADVISED HIM FOR FORECIX TAB AND REFERRED FOR MRI ELBOW.KINDLY EXPLAIN

1. I have seen the reports. Definitely TB is positive. Forecox is the appropriate medicine. Do continue as advised.
2. Does he have elbow problem? Otherwise Mri is not necessary.
For vitamin d you can get vitamin d levels done.
Continue calcirol XXXXXXX
Don't worry.
TB is easily curable if treated well.
Usually 6 months course is given under medical supervision.

Then need to change to two drug regimen for another 4 months.
Re testing not required.

Urine report is normal. Few crystals can be present.
Apart from that I don't see vitamin d levels or sgot tests.
These are required too to confirm vitamin d deficiency.
