Suggest Treatment For PCOS

Question: Hi,
My wife has problem of PCOS. Her each and every ultrasound report shows multiple poly cyst in the right ovary. She is getting allopathic treatment but it is not permanent. She is also not able to conceive. Can you suggest any permament treatment for PCOS

Cycle continues for 2 days with very less bleeding for last 5 months. Earlier , it used to go for 5 days with normal bleeding.

Details of ultrasound reports:
23.04.2014
Rt Ovary is bulky (Volume 12.8 cc) shows multiple small sized peripherical echolucent.
Lt Ovary is quite bulky shows a thick walled echolucent cystic mass (5.1 x 4.8 cm).
Quite bulky with moderate sized cyst with multiple septae.
05.05.2014.
Rt Ovary slightly bulky (vol. 8.6 cc) shows small sized (6mm-8mm) echolucent.
Lt ovary is quite bulky (vol- 20.3 cc) shows multiple echolucent follicles (15 MM and smaller)

17.09.2014
Ovaries are bulky on both sides and show multiple small sized echolucent follicles.
Rt ovary vol- 15.7 cc and Lt ovary vol- 26.44 cc.
B/L bulky ovaries with PCOD changes

Haemorrhagic cyst in Lt Ovary ( 3.8 x 2.9 cm)

USG TVS- Uterus (73 x 41 x 32mm) appears normal in size and position. ET is 9 mm.
Lt Ovary is normal. A 45 x 25 mm cyst with internal septations is seen in right adenexal rigion. Complex right cyst.
Medicine taken: Prinolut 5 mg- twice a day or 21 days. Femilone tabs were adviced for 3 months last year. In April2014, surgery was advices but not done.

She had laproscoly surgery in March 2012 and she was dignozed with TB. She took 9 months medicine for the same and test performed again in Oct 2013 but report was negative.
She is not able to conceive. 4 yrs complete of our marrige.

HSG Reporst:
HSG was performed using of non ionic contrast after cannulating the cervix.
Uterine cavity is slightly deformed with irregular outline, specially on right side.
Bilateral fallopian tubes are opacified . No Free spillage is seen on right side. Suggesting of distal tubal block.
There is dilation o distal/fimbrial part of left fallopian tube with suggestion of localized spillage on left side.

No weight gain and no unwanted hair grow seen yet. Her weight 42 kg (height- 5.1 inch). Itching and pain happens during intercourse.

She had unbearable pain in April 2014 and light pain remains regular in lower abdomen in left side and in left thigh. She suffers unberable pain during her MC.

Thanks for providing full detailing regarding the problem.

This is typical case and its bilateral PCOS and it seems very severe too.

Now for the treatment, its not easy to make sudden of track change from allopath medicines to Ayurveda medicines, but gradually we can move.

Now start the following medicines..
1. kanchnaar gugal 2 tabs twice a day
2. Raj: pravaratani vati 2 tabs twice a day
3. Syrup M2Tone 10 ml twice a day (charak Parma)
4. varunadi kwath 15 ml twice a day
5. Chandraprabha vati 2 tabs twice a day.

These combination has to taken for long time, upto a year. And its needed to reviewed every three months.

Also suggesting Ayurveda Panchkarma treatment for her if you have any nearby reputed Panchkarma center
1. Bastikarma
2. XXXXXXX Basti karma

No diet restriction needed.

Hello Doctor,

Thanks for your revert.
Need clarification on below points:
1. What diagnosis required after 3 months.
2. How long will Panchkarma treatment take and both the Panchkarma are same?

Are Suggested medicines for PCOS only or it will also help to conceive? I had also attached HSG report. Is there any chance to conceive?

1. After three months we need to check status from USG for ovary size and any another changes.
2. The panchkarma treatment will take such sittings as Bastikarma has to take for 12 to 16 sittings and uttarbasti karma has to perform every month maximum three sittings.

I have suggested PCOS only right now, but improvement in PCOS is the treatment of Infertility, and surely it will increase chances for conception.
