Question: Hi Doctor
I am 28 yr old trying to conceive I have pcod but my periods are pretty normal , I get them within a difference of 2-3 days . Last month my doctor advised me a follicular scan and on day 17 the egg size was 19 mm and on the same day she gave me luproid injection for ovulation after two days she said the egg was released
However this month my periods are overdue by 5 days and just a day back I noticed thick white discharge which I generally do not get even during ovulation. I was on duphaston for 10 days . However when I did pregnancy test it was negative. Iam wondering why was that thick creamy discharge ? Should i consider testing again or the delayed periods and thick creamy discharge are side effects of lupride?

Brief Answer:
Can be due to Duphaston.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The thick creamy discharge can be due to duphaston also. This suggests some hormonal changes in the body and is not worrisome. You can test your urine again after 4-5 days and in case it is again negative then you can stop taking duphaston after consulting your gynecologist to get a bleeding.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thanks doctor for the reply. I have stopped duposton almost a week back as it was just a 10 day course and the creamy discharge was after a week from stopping the medicine and was just for one day. What could that dicharge mean?

Brief Answer:
Not related to injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If the discharge stopped just after one day then it can be due to a local cause like irritation of genitalia due to some toiletries etc. it does not seem to be a serious cause or related to lupride injection.
Hope my answer is helpful.
