Suggest Treatment For MRSA And Sepsis
Question: I had back surgery in November 2016, my 7th. I came home 5 days later to the mountains of CO with my husband and 3 days later I was very sick and I new something else was wrong. We went back to the hospital where they admitted me again and did another back surgery and sliced down my whole back where my husband could see my whole spine. I found out I had mrsa and also sepsis. The drs. told me I might die as well as the nurses. I was in the hospital for a month and they wanted to keep me longer, past Christmas; but I refused. I don't have the infusion site or the wound vac anymore but still feel bad and very depressed. What do I do now?

MRSA alone itself is a very tough infection to deal with, this coupled with sepsis is most certainly a physician's nightmare.
MRSA results in a resistance to a number of commonly used lower grade antibiotics and middle grade antibiotics, leaving the doctors very very few options to treat the infection. At your age, along with the numerous surgeries you have had (which further lower your immunity), and to top it all a most recent surgery (which cannot heal with an ongoing infection the stature of MRSA and sepsis). These must be the reasons why your doctors and nurses were bleak about your diagnosis.
As a doctor, I would also prefer if you would stay in the hospital, as an intravenous course of antibiotics and continuous monitoring would be the best way to prevent any unforeseen outcomes; but the decision is yours entirely.
You need to prevent any further complications or superimposed infections, and also vigorously work towards treating the MRSA and sepsis with your doctor with the help of susceptible antibiotics without wasting any time ma'am, that is the only way out.

I am better than I was but still in a lot of pain. I am also a breast cancer survivor. I have always been a very healthy woman and this mrsa is the worst thing I have ever had. I just want to move forward and live the rest of my life as good as I can. I am a dancer and have been since I was 3 years old and now I can't. This is the worse part other than the pain.

I completely understand and hope you recover from the MRSA completely and at the earliest, but for this we need to know your current status.
A blood test will check on the grade of the infection, and accordingly yours doctors can decide whether you can be treated at home with oral antibiotics or need to get admitted for intravenous antibiotics.
This is indeed awful, but instead of worrying we need to be proactive and work with your doctors. If you did not like to ones that treated you, look for other ones, but do start your treatment at the earliest ma'am, I wish nothing but the best for you.
