Brief Answer:
HSV, continue antivirals

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Infection with the herpes virus can occur even without having sexual contact. The transmission can occur via oral contact , toothbrushes, tooth pics, poor oral hygiene, using infected floss. HSV 2 is commonly transmitted sexually. Tissue culture isolation of the herpes virus is the most accurate test and is used to confirm the diagnosis. However, that is used in case of active painful lesions.

She should continue the antiviral medication and complete the course. You should get tested for herpes. If your serology for herpes is negative then you may not require any treatment.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
