Suggest Treatment For COPD And Anxiety

Question: my husband is 81, has a pacemaker, COPD and anxiety. Since about 6-8 months he has not felt well at all. We have gone back to the doctor and redone bloodiest and the only answer is anxiety. Well for us this is not good enough! I am afraid that I am losing him little by little. I do not want him to have to live this way. Here are also his meds Dr. XXXXXXX J Steinbaum’s medications as of 2016

MORNINGS;

SERTRALINE HCL 100 MG 1twice daily
AREDS 2 formula 1 pill twice a day
DAILY MULTI-VITAMINS FOR MEN ONE A DAY
LIPO-FLAVONOID PLUS 1 pill 3 time a day
SYMBICORT 160/4.5 2 puffs as needed
ALBUTERUL 2.5 4 times a day

EVENINGS;

SERTRALINE HCL 100 MG
AREDS 2 FORMULAR
LIPO-FLAVONOID PLUS
FENOFIBRATE 134 MG CAPSULE
ATORVASTATIN 40 MG
FINASTERIDE 5 MG
WARFARIN SODIUM 5 OR 2.5
( DEPENDS ON INR RESULTS - CHECKED MONTHLY )
ESZOPICLONE 3 MG ( GENERIC LUNESTA )

Prednisone 10 MG use as directed ( 12 day regimen )


MEDICATION AS NEEDED
CVS Cough DM cough suppressant 12 Hour
Mucus relief 1200
Symbicort 160/4.5 2 puffs twice daily
Proair HFA 90 MCG as needed every 4 Hours

PAINRELIEF—HYDROCODON-ACETAMINOPHN 10-325

EYE MEDICATIONS AS NEEDED OR PERSCRIBED
LUMIGAN ( BIMATOPROST OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION 2.5 ml ) 1 drop Bedtime
EXTRA STRENGTH LUBRICANT GEL DROPS (DRY EYE RELIEF )
ALPHAGAN P 0.1%
Lubricant eye ointment
Please help, I do not know what to do anymore. He is my Best friend and life.

I have gone through the list of drugs you have mentioned.
He is taking correct medicines.
If his all reports are normal then anxiety appears more likely cause for his symptoms.
Sometimes only drugs are not sufficient for anxiety management. You need to get done psychiatric counselling regularly by experienced psychologist.
He may need other anxiolytic drugs as well to control anxiety.
So better to consult his psychiatrist and discuss all these.
