Question: I INJURED MY ACL 1O DAYS BACK. BUT THE INFLAMATION HAS SUBSIDED NOW AND ITS GETTING BETTER.CAN YOU SUGGEST SOME EXERCISES WHICH WILL HELP ME AVOID SURGERY ?

Thanks for posting your query.
In case of ACL injury if the ligament is torn more than 50% then getting it surgically repaired is the only way to regain the full recovery and proper movement of the knee. Doing exercises and doing the painful movements can cause the further deterioration of the tear.
You first need to get an MRI scan of the knee done to know the extent of damage to the ACL. In case the tear is a small one and can heal conservatively then you will need rest for 4-6 weeks to allow the ligament to heal properly.
