Brief Answer:
Endocrinologist in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM

I am sorry to hear that you have Addison's disease and that you are not well controlled at this time. You are asking for referral to an endocrinologist in your area. The closest endocrinologist is probably in the Lakeport area or as far away as XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I think perhaps looking into the Northern California Medical Associates maybe able to help find an endocrinologist. Their phone number is 707) 578-7530.

I hope this helps.

Thank you dr. Schubert.
Can you tell me what tests I should ask for ? I have not yet been confirmed with Addison's . I have salival test results, showing cortisol levels and adrenal insufficiency, ( which I've had for 10 yrs or more)from july .
But as I have not been able to rejuvenate at all, and in fact have gotten a lot worse to where I am not functional, I want to get further testing, to check more what is going on .
I have read about autoimmune related Addison's, problems with pituitary not functioning well, and I believe there are other tests to do for causes of adrenal insufficiency .
And what about aldosterone?
What line of testing would you recommend ?i want to be on the correct ammount of mediciation of cortisol, and anything else I might need to support the lack of adrenal function.
Hope this all makes sense. I have an appointment tomorrow to see a doctor but he is not a specialist , I want to be prepared to get what I need form my appointment .

Many thanks.

Brief Answer:
Tests for Addison's disease

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for replying with more information.

I am a family doctor and have very limited experience with Addison's disease. When you see the specialist they will be able to perform the correct tests for your condition. I know that you will need cortisol levels, electrolyte levels, a diabetes check and probable MRI or CT scan of the adrenal glands.

So sorry that I can't give you more information on Addison's disease since that is not my area of expertise
