Question: I have just had a full blood count which was normal. If I had hiv fron an incudent 7 5 years ago would this have shown up

One last follow up one, what are the transmission rates from a positive female to a male. I did the insti hiv test at Superdrug and it came back negative. Can you advise on thjis test?

The possibility of acquiring HIV infection from an unprotected vaginal sex act is about 1 in 1000, whereas with anal intercourse is about 1 in 100 to 1 in 50. Regarding second question- The best test to know about HIV status is to undergo ELISA test as screening test and then Western blot for confirmation in your case, as you had exposed to risk 7.5 years ago.
