Brief Answer:
List of causes listed sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. As you are male, the causes vary from those of females and I shall be happy to list the causes out for you sir. They are:

-Late nights or irregular sleep cycle: Due to staying up late at night, late night snacks and sitting up in front of the computer or television can lead to weight gain
-Stress: Stress causes a release of stress hormones, which can result in an increased appetite
-Various medications: Like anti-depressants, steroids, medications that can cause retention of fluids, etc.
-Cushing's syndrome
-Thyroid abnormalities
-Kidney abnormalities: Can result in fluid retention
-Diet: Fatty/oily/fried food increase in the diet
-Sudden discontinuation of exercise
and a few others.

If at all you can relate to any of the above mentioned conditions sir, please write back to me with more details about it. But if you cannot, then please try to schedule an appointment with a doctor and get all these conditions checked up and rule them out in order to find the exact cause for your weight-gain and accordingly address it.

Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always available to help.

Best wishes sir.

Brief Answer:
?? Infection/inflammation of salivary glands

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Swellings under the jaw could be related to inflammation or infection of the salivary glands, but this will have to be confirmed with an ultrasound investigation of the region or an invasive procedure called a needle-core biopsy which will confirm/rule out cancer sir.

Your other symptoms could also be in accordance with an infection, which is why an elaborate evaluation and physical examination will be mandatory, for which I would strongly recommend an ENT specialist.

I hope you can find time to consult an ENT specialist who is able to rapidly diagnose and treat you. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
