Posted on Fri, 7 Aug 2015
Question: About 15 years ago - I am 50 - I suddenly started to vomit when I eat fish. I tried it several times through these years but it happened again in most times. It does not happen with shrimp or with canned tuna.
Can you please advise?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Complete avoidance if fish is a cost effective approach.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Yes you obviously have fish food allergy.

Fish contains certain proteins ,which induce emesis.

Total avoidance of fish will give best results.

Another viable option,in case if you cannot avoid fish completely,Immunotherapy with slow allergic sensitization leading to tolerance of fish proteins only done at selective centers .

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
