Suggest Remedy For Swollen Foliate Papillae
Question: Hi, I have swollen foliate papillae (right side only) with very tine dot on it from atleast 2 months. I got this validated by ENT two times. I didn't get the definite answer from him. Dentist said nothing.

I had 2 ENT visits in the past 2 months which he did endoscopy and said this doesn't look like any thing suspicious. When I asked for biopsy, ENT told me that he would send for biopsy only he feel suspicious NOT I asked for. I had B12 deficiency for which I received 3 shots. Oral surgeon said he would not know until he biopsied it which he looked with naked eye. I have another appointment with ENT again in December 2nd week. Do you recommend the biopsy for everything that doesn't go away in 2 months?

Thank you for your reply. Is this called swollen foliate papillae? I have the similar one on my left side also but smaller. Is this true that the foliate papillae swells due to some virus/bacteria from dust/pollen/pet dander? I got into a new home which had pets (Both cat and dog) in May. The home was locked for 6 weeks while we were on vacation and since after I come back I feel I am breathing dust and I am planning to replace the carpet with some wooden floor. I sneeze and cough when I am there in the home but ENT couldn't see anything when he checked with endoscopy.
