Brief Answer:
Best strategy in sucha case

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome with your query
I am Dr V XXXXXXX

I have assessed your concerns. I regularly attend to patients with similar complaints.

On the basis of your profile, I have observed that in such a case, the best results are expected when one keeps the following facts in mind and then proceed on to address the issue:

1 The stretch marks are a result of distended skin due to pressure on the skin created by enlargement. This can be compared to giving in by the fibers or threads of a cloth that has worn out or is subjected to prolonged stretch.
Therefore, it is unlikely that it will return to its original state although a great deal of improvement can be expected.

2 As you had your delivery just two weeks back, it is advisable to wait for the process of natural recovery to happen spontaneously. In most cases, the striae tend to get better but gradually.

3 After some months from now, you might like to review the situation and then decide whether to go for any treatment for the same or not.

4 Some of the options open at this stage are to do exercises advised by your doctor which will help you regain normal muscle tone. Later on, one may consider Laser treatment or another type of intervention, if need be.

5 The discoloration is temporary and is mainly due to hormonal changes around pregnancy and is likely to revert to normal in due course.

I am sure, now you are in better position to deal with the problem. I will be glad if you have other queries on your mind that need my suggestions.

Best wishes from us!
