I have gone through your query and understand your concern .The cause of muscle spasm could be gall bladder pathology like infection /stone.Hence ultrasound is highly recommended to find the cause.
You may have tablet.Drotin to relieve the muscle spasm.Your local pharmacist /GP might know about this product .

Dr @ ER did ultrasound & catscan Sunday. Spasms seem to come in waves, kind of stabbing. Stools have been nearly pure liquid since Monday am. With the exception of corn kernals from soup Monday evening. Bowel movements had been normal (once daily) until Monday am. This morning, constant muscle spasms and burning with a rash started on back directly behind spasms on front. ER Dr said al test on gall blader were normal. BTW, thanks to chronic Q Fever 4 years ago, I have a mechanical aeortic valve and am on doxycline.

I have gone through your reply carefully and would like to know more about the rash like is it in the form of band or strip,any itching ?
One should rule out herpes infection as a cause of your suffering by getting examined by physician or dermatologist.

Thanks for your help. I went to GP this morning. He looked over the ER records and said the morning after my visit, the Dr who reads Catscans said there was no blockage. Wish someone would have let me know so I could quit taking the magnesiun citrate. Turns out I have Shingles.
