Brief Answer:
klonopin is better option in benzo, mirtazapine is recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Benzodiazepine group of drugs should be stopped very slowly to prevent withdrawal symptoms.
Ativan 5 mg as such is high dose. Seroquel in severe sleep disturbance with depression will not help much in sleep. Valium is helpful in sleep. However I recommend klonopin (clonazepam) instead of ativan and valium for sleep. Klonopin is more potent and longer acting than ativan and less half-life than that of valium. Discuss your doctor for switching to klonopin instead of Ativan for sleep.

Endep gives sedation but for depression it is required in higher dose which will cause excessive sedation, dry mouth, constipation and some EKG changes.

Wellbutrin is good drug and a good option in your case but it will not give sedation. You can go for it with klonopin.
I recommend mirtazapine (remeron) as an antidepressant in your case as it gives good sedation which may reduce need of taking more benzo for sleep.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
