Suggest Remedy For Skin Dryness On Chin
Question: I woke up yesterday with a dry patch on my chin about the size of my thumb. Last night I exfoliated and it started to burn. I decided to put XXXXXXX aquaphor on it before bed and this morning it still stings. There is very little redness and no bumps so i have no idea what it could be.

As per details, there are following possibilities for your symptoms
1 ) Irritant contact dermatitis- it is characterised by red colored rash with acute onset due to application of some irritant over the area.
2) Paedrous dermatitis - it is also known as insect bite dermatitis. It is characterised by spontaneous acute onset rash due to insect bite.
It would have been better if you could attach photographs of the affected area.

I try to maintain a nice skincare regimine of really good products so I'm not sure what could have caused the irritation.

Do not worry. Sometimes even the prodducts you have been using for long may harm your skin. In such cases, I prefer to advise mild to moderate potency topical steroid like fluticasone to my patients. Apply good amount of moisturiser over face.
You may take antihistaminics like levocetrizine for symptomatic relief of itch.
