Suggest Remedy For Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: I recently had bouts of anxiety attacks along with just generalized anxiety. All that's over now but I still have chest pain that was present even before the anxiety started. Any ideas on what the chest pain might be. It hurts more after physcical exertion such as lifting heavy objects but not so much as with running. Ibuprofen seems to help calm it down but when it really hurts sometimes I get shortness of breath and arm pain and back pain. Any ideas on what this could be. I've had this problem for a about 1 month now

Brief Answer:
Looks like muscular but cardiac issues need to be

Detailed Answer:

How old are you?
Do you have any long standing illness or cardiac illness?
Looking at the description given by you it looks like muscular pain. You need to give rest to joint till pain completely goes away, Along with taking Brufen as and when needed.
But based on your age and risk profile you might need cardiac evaluation such as ecg, Tmt.

I've had a echocardiagram, ECG, and stress test done on my heart. They also monitored it for 24 hours. All of the tests came back normal.

Brief Answer:
Then just need pain relief

Detailed Answer:

If all the reports are normal then it must be muscular pain exacerbated by anxiety. You just need rest, anxiety reduction and pain relief if it's too much.

Avoid lifting weights exercise and driving till pain completely subsides.
