Question: i have consumed a lot of alcohol tonight and have the shivers and am cold. i also forced myself to vomit to try and get some out but a small amount of blackish substance came out. i am well enough to type this question, but am i okay to go to sleep for the night?

This is due to vasodilation first followed by vasoconstriction.

Bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract (GIT) causes hematemesis.
You can go off to sleep right now but consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment and examination of upper GIT by endoscopy if required.
