Suggest Remedy For Severe Stomach Pain

Question: I have been camping for 5 days. Two nights ago, I had severe stomach pains. I was thinking I was getting ready. To have a bad bout of diarrhea. When I went to the bathroom all that I could get out was a mucus like substance with a small amount of blood. It has been 3 days now and still can't have a bowl movement and the the mucus and blood is still there. The pain is not to bad now.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Your description is classical of Acute Dysentery which is a severe form of Acute Gastro enteritis.
I would advice following in such case:
1. To take an antibiotic combination containing Ofloxacin and Ornidazole.

2. To take Probiotic like Lactobacillus.

3. To take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone.

4. To drink plenty of water and Oral rehydration solution.

In case of pain Abdomen drugs like Drotaverine helps.
Make sure you don't get dehydrated.

I would advice you to see your doctor and get appropriate prescription.
