Well, it seems like it is a start of arthritis with the way you are describing...I would like to ask you a few more questions and will advise you a few blood tests as well..

1. Have you noticed any swelling in the joint?

2. How long is the early morning stiffness for??( in minutes)

3. Have you been experiencing low backache or neck pain?

4. Anyone in your family with similar problem??

5. Any pain or swelling in the hand joints?

I would recommend you some blood tests to pick up the arthritis if it is at an early stage

1. ESR
2. CRP
3. Rheumatoid FActor
4. Anti CCP antibody
5. HLA B 27 (PCR)

Get these tests done. Meanwhile you can take an anti inflammatory like Celecoxib and see the response, so we ll know if it is due to inflammation or something else

Hope the information was useful. Do let me know my queries

I don't have any redness or swelling, my fingers always feel weak and tight, no pain, the soreness in my ankles, knee's and hips last all day, but it's toletable, the worst pain is when I get up in the morning and if I sit for longer than 30min at a time, I have no significant family hx of arthritis, other then arthritis with old age above 60yr old

Well, the sort of symptoms you are having especially increased pains after rest and early morning stiffness, it may be a start of the arthritis. Swelling and redness appear a bit later on. But considering there is no swelling, we are a at a bit early stage. Hence if we can diagnose it early, the outcomes can be good.

Family history is usually not significant with inflammatory arthritis. I would suggest you get these tests done, so it will give us a clue whether there is inflammation going on or is it some other variant of arthritis

Hope the information was useful
