Suggest Remedy For Severe Acid Reflux
Question: ABOUT two months ago I started having strong acid reflux at night. I had to double up on Zantac and nexium for two weeks. Ran a stool test and had bacteria in gut and took strong antibotics for a week. Wake sick in the night, nose running and throw up and diareia, then feel ok. After the ordeal I seem ok. What could it be? This has a weekly cycle. I feel good and eat normally for a few days and it does it again. I have lost 25 lbs in 3 months.

You are reporting to have used antibiotics and after that you have diarrhea .
Your symptoms may be related with:
- acute gastroenteritis
-antibiotic side effects and disbacteriosis
To my opinion since you don't have symptoms any more than you don't need medication.
If your diarrhea repeats again than you shoud do
fecal test for candida overgrowth .
With regards to GERD apart medical treatment ,I would suggest to change your lifestyle like :
- avoid coffeee, chocolate and tea
- avoid spicy and chilly foods
- use two pillows when you lay down
- eat often and small amount of meals
- eat 3-4 hours before go to bed
- increase physical activity
- try to avoid unnecessary stress.
