Brief Answer:
Get 24 hour ambulatory BP monitoring and revert with results.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I am Dr Mody and I would be addressing your concern.
Headache is very common symptoms which may occur due to hypertension, particularly when the lower pressure (diastolic) is high like in your case.
Now exercise/low salt would decrease the lower pressure XXXXXXX by 4-5 mm hg, and that to after 6-8 weeks of exercise and diet.

However it is of utmost importance that you carry on with exercise ( min 40-45 of aerobic exercise /day for atleast 5 days a week) and low salt ( XXXXXXX 3-4 gms /day) as the long term health benefits are very good.

So yes hypertension does explain your symptoms , however as you are young we should first established that you have reading are persistently high,

1)For that, 24 hour ambulatory BP monitoring system can be used. It will keep on measuring the pressure while you perform your daily activities like work, exercise or sleep. (the readings you took must be while you are sitting and so during exercise or work it may be higher than 140/100).
As the same time if you were anxious during measuring, we would falsely label you as hypertensive patient.
2) if the test result prove your blood pressure is high, we should consider ruling all common cause of hypertension and treating it as per the test result
3) yes hypertension can cause erectile dysfunction, particularly maintenance. More importantly medication for treating hypertension will also do so.
Hence consult your doctor for treatment and Avoid diuretic s and beta blocker group of drugs.

You may msg me the test results of ambulatory BP monitoring and I may guide you the further management.
Any clarification, I would be happy to help.
Regards Dr Priyank Mody
