Suggest Remedy For Pain When Suffering From Lupus

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Apr 2015
Question: I have lupus so I have had all of the heart testing about 2 months ago and results were great no heart problems, however I now have this sharp pain in the back of my neck like I laid on it wrong all night and I am fatigued. The fatigue is probably just the lupus in a flare - there's been alot of stress recently around the home, and the neck pain probably just laying on it wrong but since I am a woman and 45 do you think it's cause for concern?

Brief Answer:
It is likely to be related to anxiety.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are having muscular pain in your neck. It will be benefitted by rest and analgesic ( you already taking excederine). I think your pain is related to your anxiety and worries so you are likely to be get benefitted by mild anxiolytic such as alprazolam. As it is prescription medicine so you need to be prescribed by your doctor. I also advise you to get your vitamin D level as vitamin D deficiency also leads to fatigue and muscular pain. If found low you can take supplements of vitamin D3. You should also rule out your lupus flare as you thought that it can be due to lupus flare. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
