Suggest Remedy For Pain In Testicles

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Nov 2015
Question: Hi I'm an 18 year old male and I have noticed that my right testicle is slightly harder than my left testicle. I occasionally get pains in my right testicle which can happen 3 times in a row every so often.
Should I see my GP.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Likely benign, no worries, wait and see

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Right testicle is different in symmetry compared to left and also a bit higher than the left and its all normal anatomy. With no history of trauma or injury to the testicles, no color change or any visible swelling, these occasional pains can be attributed to the sexually active teen life . For example mere masturbation can cause it. Genitourinary tract infection like epididymitis and orchitis can also cause it.

So i want you to give some ibuprofen a try, wear a scrotal support, abstain from intimacy or masturbation or self touching of any kind for a while and wait and see. If the pain persists, there is no harm in getting evaluated for the cause . A few tests like urine routine exam, scrotal ultrasound etc will sort things out.

I hope it helps, Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
