Brief Answer:
Use Water based lubricants or moisturisers

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I have gone through your query.

Based on the information, it may be superficial dyspareunia. Causes could be infections (candidiasis, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, urinary tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease), vulvar vestibulitis, vaginal dryness.

I would have initially advised you to use water-based lubricants or moisturisers and observed for improvement. Then would have considered swab test done to diagnose infection.

Hope this helps.
Take care

I don't have any problem with dryness. and it only seems to happen at certain angles. pain can be acute at times. I have heard of vaginismus. could this be an option and if so what would you recommend

Brief Answer:
Rule out UTI, endometriosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.

Those angles might be the ones that usually result in deeper penetration of the penis, that might be bothering you.

Do you have pain while micturating, or any discharge. Vaginismus does not cause pain in n particular angle so less likely.

Urinary tract infection, endometriosis sold be ruled out. I would have asked for the ultrasound to rule out this.

Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
Pain might be due to deeper Penetration

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for providing the information.

Does the pain occur every time you have intercourse or it occurs occasionally. I am not allow to find any other reason apart from deeper Penetration to be the cause. So I would suggest you not to worry.

Hope this helps
