Brief Answer:
Most probably pleurisy ( pleuritic)

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Pain and rattling when breathing, on chest or upper back points towards lung and its coverings irritation or inflamation.

In most cases this is accompanied by other symptoms such fever, cough, fatigue etc.

Another possibility to consider, if the pain and rattling is felt under the skin, outside chest wall, during local joint movement, is a musculoskeletal ( joint ) problem.

In both cases a careful examination by a Doctor is needed, so I suggest you to consult your primary care Doctor, discuss above mentioned possibilities and appropriate treatment after a correct diagnosis.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
