Question: Hello, I've been having so many issues and over time trying to narrow where all my problems are coming from (CFS/Fibromyalgia) and I am almost certain it is Gut / intestine related. I go through phases of having no appetite for weeks, my stool is very inconsistent with the last few being dark green and muddy ( I had a green smoothie maybe why?) with no consistency. My stomach can go from being flat to being blown up like a balloon making me look 6months pregnant. It is not accompanied by gas or pain. It can happen even if i drink some water. other symptoms that may be related: skin redness (pictures) that changes but never fully goes away. Bloodshot eyes, high blood pressure (the last 2 times my doctor tried it was 160 then 140, I don't drink or smoke), urine is very foamy recently and can be dark even if I am drinking enough water. Sleep problems, joint weakness, fatigue and im incredibly sensitive to chemicals e.g. cleaning products that can cause me to become dizzy. Lower back ache when tilting. Oh and I developed a intolerance to banana recently, I was thinking maybe I have gut damage? Sorry please ignore the top posts, I re did it more constructively: Hi again Dr XXXXXXX I've been having so many issues and over time trying to narrow where all my problems are coming from (CFS/Fibromyalgia) and I am almost certain it is Gut / intestine related. After I had my TSH level checked they said it was normal, I will try and retrieve the actual results soon. I also has a celiac blood test which came back negative, but i still think gluten could be causing me problems. I am currently trying to go gluten free for a month, but it is so difficult to stick to. I went for a second round of bloodtests and here are the results: Blood Haematinic levels: Ferritin 120.000 ug/L Liver function test: Serum total protein 74.000g g/L Serum albumin 44.000 g/L Serum globulin 30.000 g/L Serum bilirubin level 14.000 umol/L Serum alkaline phosphatase 66.000 iu/L Serum ALT level 35.000 iu/L Serum Calcium 2.400 mmol/L Corrected serum calcium level 2.320 ol/L Serum C reactive protein level 1.000mg/L I go through phases of having no appetite for weeks, my stool is very inconsistent sometimes very muddy texture. Bloodshot eyes, high blood pressure (the last 2 times my doctor tried it was 160 then 140, I don't drink or smoke) urine is very foamy recently and can be dark even if I am drinking enough water. Sleep problems, fall asleep fine but find it difficult to stay asleep for more than 3-4hours. joint weakness fatigue sensitive to chemicals e.g. cleaning products that can cause me to become dizzy. Lower back ache when tilting. Can't have bananas anymore, they give me stomach cramps that are incredibly painful. I used to eat a banana everyday. Increased irritability Brain fog / can't concentrate properly. Usually have cold hands and feet, and I noticed that sometimes the first half of my finger nails go a slight purple/blue color. Sometimes my heart will begin beat hard at rest and a 1-2 times per month i get chest pains (stabbing pain) I will answer any questions I also always have dry lips thank you

Brief Answer: Please follow the suggestions below... Detailed Answer: Hi, I have seen your reports and understood your concerns. If you are worried about skin redness, please don't. The changes in redness could be related to your skin blood vessels. Different persons have to deal with different patterns of skin blood vessels, but that does not mean necessarily to get ill. If you live in a cold-weather area, then, it is normal for the hands and feet to feel cold as they are the distant parts of your body. Furthermore, blood vessels of the skin have different reaction when facing cold or hot (change their patterns). If your blood work did not show anemia, then, everything you face is normal and nothing to worry about. With regards to banana intolerance. You can eat a banana a day, but if you body is giving signals that it does not tolerate banana, it is better to listen to those signals. If you cannot resist to eating a banana, go ahead and eat it as long as you do not have a severe reaction, but just mild abdominal cramping. With regards to appetite, I'm glad to know that you do not smoke or drink alcohol. Having fibromyalgia could make you a bit different from the others. However, having no appetite would be because of: - not being physically active : the more you are physically involved, the more appetite you'll have - any gastro-intestinal problems : including parasitic infections or candida. - being a person who likes to eat special & selected foods. Having foam urine and dry lips could be due to: - diabetes (check fasting and HBA1C and oral glucose tolerance test) - dehydration (drink more of clean water, avoid sugary juices or soft drinks) Looking forward to have the reports of your diabetes screening! I did have a diabetes test before and it came back negative. I only ever really drink water 2litres or more per day. However looking up candida / parasitic infections that is something I think may be causing me my problems. My stomach can go from being flat to blown up like a balloon at anytime. I have many symptoms of candida, I have a tiny tiny bit of thrush on the end of my penis but not noticeable. My doctor wouldn't consider candida because I didn't have it in my mouth etc. How could I know for sure I had candida or a parasite? thank you I just double checked and i do have abit of blotchy red skin on the top of my penis. could this be candida?

Brief Answer: Please follow the suggestions below... Detailed Answer: Hi again, Thank you for sending in more of your medical data. To check for candida and parasites, I'd suggest to collect your stool and send to the lab to perform: - culture (for candida) - examination of stool for ova/parasites With regards to the problems with your blotchy red skin on the top of your penis, could you please send in a photo of the affected area? That could help me assist you further! Thank you! Dr.Klerida
