Answers to your questions as follows

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for your reply and all the details
I have see the photographs you have uploaded
Looking at photos and detailed history this could be due to any these possibilities
1. Fungal infection
2. Contact dermatitis
3. Amyloidosis

since I can't physically examine to get more clues to exactly pinpoint you the cause, so I would advise you to see a dermatologist for clinical examination and a skin biopsy to establish a diagnosis

Answers to your questions as follows
1. This could be any of these possibilities i have mentioned above
2.it may spread further
3. Yes it can controlled about which I can comment only after a diagnosis is confirmed
4. If it is Amyloidosis than its not contagious but it can be inherited
5. Possibility or progression to skin cancer can't be ruled out on basis of history only
