Suggest Remedy For Intermittent Ringing In Ears

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Nov 2014
Question: My husband has had an intermittent ringing in his ears; however, tonight it is not intermittent; it just a steady ringing that won't stop. His blood pressure is a little high, but he thinks this is because he is upset over the ear ringing. Should he go to the emergency room?

NO, he should not go to the emergency room!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for using HCM.

I am so sorry to hear about this ringing that your husband has in the ear. It s not and emergency and a visit to the ER would not be necessary at this time. I will suggest that you monitor and should it not subside within 48hours, then you may want to call his doctors and get an appointment for evaluation.

His list of medications is huge and this is the most likely cause of this ringing. I will suggest that you ask whether there are medications that can be taken off as being on many drugs is never the best option. Put an eye on the Blood pressure value and make sure that it doesn't rise higher. Can you also report the value you had to me.

I hope this helps. I wish your husband well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
