Question: I have a 21 year old son who has over the last 6-8 months lost weight and is tired a lot. He does work hard at his job. It is very physical. He eats throughout the day. He says that he hurts. He thinks it is because of his job. I am concerned about him. He tells me that he will be ok, it is just his job.

Brief answer....seems to be diabetes
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
His symptoms of ....
Increased appetite, loss of weight, fatigue and a positive family history of diabetes point towards uncontrolled diabetes.Without waiting time, you should take  him to the doctor and get him investigated thoroughly.
If found to be diabetic he would need not only medications but also a lifestyle change like cutting on sugar and calories and doing regular exercises.
I hope it helps however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
