Question: I have been reading your answer to excessive sweating all over the body. I have had this about seven years and the only changes that occured to me then was I was placed on cymbalta, noten and my mother passed away. I get this so badly my hair is like I have just washed it , it runs down my face and my clothes are soaked. My doctor says something has gone wrong in my systeml I have seen a hormone specialist. He checked my pituitary gland with MRI. When that turned out to be fine he did not want to see me. It seems nobody in the medical world is interested because they just don't know. Can you help me. Brief Answer:
Sweating

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about your profuse sweating problem.

Indeed, it can be perplexing at times, particularly because when no cause is found.

The few endocrine/hormone related conditions that cause sweating are :

1 Over active thyroid

A simple non-fasting blood test called TSH will help diagnose this problem.

2 Acromegaly
Another random blood test for IGF1 rules out this condition in most cases

3 Pheochromocytoma

Plasma free metanephrines are useful in ruling out this condition.

4 Menopausal symptoms
These can occur at any age, although very uncommon to start at your age

5 Low blood glucoses
These typically occur on individuals with diabetes on glucose lowering medication. I see you are on none.
