Brief Answer:
Go for antifungal ear drops if not gone

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; and suggest you that your wife may go for the antifungal ear drops and complete the entire course.

With this your wife may go for the some supportive measures
1. Avoid putting water, oil and ear bud in the ear canal.
2. Hot fomentation at least three times a day.
3. For pain she may take mild painkillers such as paracetamol.
4. Keep the ear dry.
