Brief Answer:
Drinking lots of water is the easiest way to avoid dry mouth.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Dry mouth is a common symptom that may occur during pregnancy. It is because your body stores more water to increase blood volume and you urinate more frequently. So it is important to drink plenty of fluids.

Try to avoid acidic juices like grapefruit or orange, coffee and tea because this can cause dry mouth. Chewing gums will increase saliva production in the mouth. Also you can try dry mouth mouthwash.

Please note that decrease saliva production may lead to tooth decay and mouth infections so remember about regular dental visits. Brush your teeth at least twice a day.

I also suggest you to check your blood sugar level because sometimes you may notice a dry mouth if your blood sugar levels are high.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

How do I check my sugar levels and what is a normal level

Brief Answer:
Your local doctor will know about fasting glucose.

Detailed Answer:

You should do fasting blood glucose. This test measures the level of glucose in the blood after fasting for at least 8 hours (without food or liquid, except water).

A small amount of blood will be collected from your finger. Levels between 60-95 mg/dl are normal during pregnancy.

Best regards.
