Brief Answer:
Rule out Sjogren's Syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. You should rule out Sjogren's Syndrome. A Rheumatologist or a specialist in autoimmune diseases will be able to help out.

2. Do you have any other symptoms such as dryness in the eyes?

3. Rebagen (rebamipide) 100 mg is a good choice to safely enhance saliva production. It should be taken thrice a day.

4. Artificial saliva (such as 'Aqwet') may be used.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

I had test regarding Jsogren Syndrome 6-7 years back as I am facing all body joints pain as like chicken gunia, that time it's turned as negative they checked wetness in eye with some specific paper to count normal range or lower range wetness. As you said I will look in for Rheumatologist...but should I have to avoid some food items which r not helping for saliva....& Rebagen Tablet how many day's. I have to take up...thanks in advance...

Brief Answer:
You need to get examined again.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. It seems from your symptoms that you may have developed a secondary Sjogren's Syndrome.

2. That was a Schirmer's Test for lacrimation. A Saxon Test may be done for salivary flow.

3. Rebagen tablets should be taken for at least 3 weeks at a time.

4. There are no specific food avoidance requirements. Many medications increase dry mouth and throat. Avois alcohol.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
