Brief Answer:
avoid sweets and chocolates

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
At this age it is pretty common to get viral infection or allergy.
You had mentioned that she has only dry cough and no cold.
Maxtra is antihistamine which will help in allergic cold or cough.
You can give it as per your doctors advice .
Avoid sweets sugar chocolate and chilled items.
It is better to get her examined if cough doesn't settle in a few days.
This is to identify any throat infection or chest signs which need appropriate treatment if present.
Other than this ensure she drinks plenty of liquids to keep her hydrated.
Wishing your daughter good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
Dr Arun
