Posted on Tue, 12 Jan 2016
Question: I sometimes feel my head is heavy and feels like no enough blood flow going to my head. Specially in sports and weight lifting.

Also when barber ties my neck for cutting my hair. I feel dizzy and pre-fainting.

What could be the reason and what tests should i do?

Brief Answer:
Need to undergo few investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.

Do you have any dizziness?
Have you fainted recently? Is there any ringing in the ear?. Do you have any history of ear infection?

Few causes includes low blood sugar, anaemia, you have to get your blood pressure checked, and dehydration.
Presently I would have asked you for few investigation like fasting and postprandial blood sugar, Hb estimation, monitoring your blood pressure and I would have suggested you to get your ear checked by ENT specialist to rule out any ear infection.

Management can be decided based on the investigation report.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
