Question: I was comstipated last week and took a laxative on Saturday. I soon started day long bowel movements, mostly watery. Today is the 4th day that I have not had a bowel movement. Is it safe to take another laxative?

1. Is there abdominal distension?
2. Are you passing flatus?
3. What laxative did you take previously?
4.When was the last colonoscopy done and what was the report?

Hi,
You can take miralax for bowel movements.

But if your abdomen is distended and you are not able to pass flatus also, then you need to get medical attention to rule out bowel obstruction.
