If you have fever/chills or nausea, this could be a kidney infection which should be treated with antibiotics. Pain during urination can also mean kidney stones or gravel (smaller stones) somewhere along the urinary tract (including in the kidney). There can be other urinary tract causes too, but these are the most common.
I would not wait for the check up in late April. In fact, while it isn't an emergency per se, I'd go to an urgent care today so that they can look at a urine specimen and probably get imaging studies started. If you think you can get in to see your own doctor in the next day or two, and you have no fever or nausea, then you can wait 1-2 days and see your doctor.
If you are willing, strain your urine. If you catch a stone in the strainer, this should be sent to the lab because different types of stones can indicate different processes which can be modified by dietary changes or medications.
So - don't wait. Go get checked out.
