Suggest Remedy For Abnormal Menstrual Discharge And Brown Spotting
Question: Hi my girlfriend had an abnormal menstrual discharge last April 2. It was brown in color. During the next 3 days she had the regular menstrual red blood flow. After that she is now having brown spotting. She took a tablet of nordette 5 days before when we had sex. She also took a tablet of nordette two times the previous month. Her last Period was March 21 and Feb 14. She had a regular 28 day cycle before but the last one was delayed for 7 days due to nordette. Is this normal?

Nordette is known to cause irregular abnormal bleeding as a side effect.
It is a hormonal pill and acts by suppressing body's hormone gonadotrophin.
This can sometimes lead to abnormal irregular bleed/discharge.
Is she having any other effects like weight gain or facial hair?
Also nordette is generally taken regularly in 28 day periods so has she taken it irregularly as you describe?
Then definitely it will cause abnormal irregular bleed.
Also if not taken properly it will fail to prevent pregnancy.
I will advise you to get a urine pregnancy test done too.

She had an HPT around March 18 and the result is negative. She is expected to have her period last March 14 but later had it last March 21. She took the HPT to check since we had unprotected sex last March 8 and 14. On those dates she took 1 tablet of nordette. She had the irregular discharge 12 days (april 2) after her last period (march 21).
