Suggest Remedies For Stretch Marks On The Inner Thighs

Question: I have long thick red stretch marks on my inner thighs. I've had them since I was in high school and I always thought it was from exercising and my legs rubbing together when I run. Now I think that just irritates them but not the reason I got them. Around the same time I started to get scabs on the back of my head and I've seen many different doctors and they always prescribe different things that all work but a while after I finish it always comes back. One time when I was in Army basic training it got so bad it looked like I had a hole in the back of my head. It got treated and it went away but the scabs came back but never that bad again. I was very healthy and strong and the only injury I had was I ripped my growth plate off my hip by running but it healed back on its own just fine. I'm 30 now so I've had this for half my life and I still have acne on my face and scabs on the back of my head. I injured my wrist and it wont seem to heal. I looked at the stretch marks for people with cushings disease and it looks very similar. I never got any weight gain or stretch marks on my belly but I also read you don't always get the same symptoms. I was wondering if that is would I could have or maybe something else. I feel something is wrong with me and I think it is all connected but doctors always just treat the individual symptoms and they always return. It has affected my life because I'm embarrassed people will see my scabs and now I'm losing hair where the scabs are so it's easier for people to see. Blood on my pillow, things like that. I thought it could be my diet so I cut out all cokes and sugary things and mostly just eat tunafish and pbj sandwiches. It helped a little bit but its still there. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Acne on face& scabs one problem, doesn't seem to be having cushing syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
The scabs on your scalp and acne is one problem.
You are having stretch marks on your thighs which are present in almost 40-50 percent of the adolescents and they tend to persist throughout.
You don't seem to be having other features of crushing syndrome as it presents with weight gain, central obesity, diabetes, hypertension, round facies, fat deposition on the back of neck.
You are simply having stretch marks on the thighs which are very common in normal population.
Regarding your scabs on the scalp and acne on your face.
Acne usually starts in teens and persists till late 20s or early 30s.
You need to take a prolonged treatment for it.
If it is severe you require capsule isotretinoin to be taken for 4-5 months but it is a prescription drug and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.
Besides reducing sugary foods, reduce intake of milk and milk products, avoid oiling of scalp, keep your face dry, avoid using oily creams and cosmetics on the face, use a ketoconazole shampoo for the scalp twice weekly and avoid hot humid weather.
I hope these measures will help you.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
