Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain In The Arms Post A Rotator Cuff Repair

default
Posted on Fri, 27 Jan 2017
Question: I recently had a SLAP tear reconstruction, rotator cuff debridement, Posterior labral tear (which in not sure if he fixed) and a bicep tendonisos. Immediately post op, maybe 20ish minutes, when i stood up to urinate, my arm.slipped out of the sling and fell to the ground with full force. I have since been experiencing the same pain i had pre-op wven though the surgery was done 6/2015. I think the arm crashing so violently just after the surgery re-tore the labrum. I have read theybare very easily re-torn until healed XXXXXXX am curious what the likelihood of something being re-torn is?

Brief Answer:
Get MRI scan.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Symptoms you are telling explain similar type of injury may have again happens.

So for exact diagnosis to be made get MRI scan of shoulder joint done, if no metal implant has been put in your shoulder in previous surgery.

If implant was placed like anchor sutures etc, then go for ultrasound of shoulder.

Get xray of shoulder joint done.

Get the investigation done and send me the report.

Till then have cap.rabiprazole empty stomach, tab aceclofenac100mg+ serratiopeptidase15mg thrice a day.

Avoid overhead activities.

Apply hot packs.

Thanks,

I am going in for B/L shoulder MR-A . I might also.mention I have also had B/L distal clavicle resectionings. I appreciate your opinion as it helps to make sense of whats going on, which I have suspected as being a retorn labrum.
Thank you
