Question: I have a medular sponge kidney that acts like kidney stones I had severe back pain for 2 days and then I can not seem to pass it could it be that I just have a bladder infection as when I go to bathroom I go a little sometimes and a lot sometimes usually I can pass a stone pretty easy

I read your question and i understand your concern. With Medullary sponge kidney disease, renal stones are very common and i am sure this pain is likely due to the very same complication. Also UTI is a possibility as both can cause such discomfort of pain and urinary symptoms of frequency and urgency.
Just to ER, they will give some relief for pain IV and do soem ultrasound and urine exam to sort out extent of involvement of stone and UTI and then devise future management plan accordingly.
