Suggest Remedies For Indigestion, Hair Loss And Low Libido After Using Cernos Gel

default
Posted on Wed, 27 Jul 2016
Question: I was having low testosterone level 223.72 , was advised Ceronas Gel 5g to be applied daily for 3 months by an urologist . But after applying for 3 days I developed side affects like upset digestion severe indigestion , yellow urine ( which now has improved ) , dark grey stool , hair loss & lower libodo , no erection & very reduced sexual drive, severe perspiration etc which was not the case before the treatment . I immediately stopped the treatment just after 3 days on 20th May 2016 . But even now after 1.5 months my digestion is not normal , sexual drive is lost , erection almost nil & hair continues to fall ,

1. Pls advise what should I do , will the side affects go away if yes then when or will they remain life long ?

2. I have learnt that external testosterone treatment suppresses the natural production of hormones in the body is it reversible , will the body make testosterone hormone naturally if yes then after how long or is it an irreversible damage ?

Brief Answer:
Check for PSA level

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the query
The side effects you are mentioning should not be related to cernos gel . Immediate side effect could be allergic reaction locally and long term can be flare up of prostate cancer I suggest to get PSA ( Total) to find for prostate cancer I can guide you further if You can convey why the test was done and any other symptoms you have
These symptoms could be due to stress . I would comment further after PSA report

Sir I had prostrate infection some 5 yrs back which has settled since then .I did some tests including PSA & T level in Feb 2016 , PSA was normal .202 but T level was bit low as stated that is why I was advised Ceronas Gel . Pls note the symptoms I mentioned in my mail ( including oily & darkening of skin ,excessive perspiration, etc ) were not there at all before the use of Cernos Gel so its not due to any stress though I used it only for 3 days thats all .

Pls answer my questions if these r side affects will it subside naturally or needs to be treated & as I asked earlier the natural production of testosterone hormone usually suppresses when given additionally will the body produce the hormone again when the medicine is discontinued if yes after how long ..

Brief Answer:
These are not related to cernos for sure

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I am very sure these are not related to cernos because cernos can never cause reduced libido and hair fall. At years of age, a possibility of prostate cancer should always be kept in mind so it would be prudent to repeat PSA. 3 days of cernos can only cause allergy as side effects ,not the ones you mentioned. Actually concluding from the total testosterone level only that some one is having hypogonadism may be erroneous because SHBG level may vary. You should get a 8-10 AM morning total testosterone with SHBG and serum Albumin level so that I can calculate the actual free testosterone level in your body.
Supression of natural testosterone may be important if you need fertility as well but for HRT, testosterone from out side has to be given The cause of these symptoms have to be explored ,as these are not explained with cernos treatment or the lack of it

Thanks for replying .Sir the side affects I mentioned matches with side affects of Cernos Gel as listed in various internet sites .......

Sir when testosterone treatment is taken via pills , Gels or injections , the natural production of testosterone in the body gets suppressed this was told to me by the doctor who advised the Gel . What I want to know is when the treatment is stopped will the body make testosterone naturally again like before or will the patient be dependant on drug for life long ? What I came to know is that body will start producing testosterone again once the drug is stopped pls confirm if its true & after how long ..?

Brief Answer:
Yes, body starts to produce it again

Detailed Answer:
hello
yes, it is true, Testosterone from outside will suppress its production in body. The capacity to regain one"s ability to produce testosterone depends on a number of factors- like physical fitness, sexual activity, obesity, many other hormonal levels so it varies a lot. Individual needs have to be determined as per the situation.
The time duration to restart is again vary a lot in different individuals starting from 6-8 weeks to many months.
