Suggest Remedies For Fungal Infection On The Elbows
Question: Just after returning from a school camp, my daughter has acquired a two patch on the area just near the elbow. Both spots are mirror image , on viewing it looks like a fungus infection being developed. Wanted to know what could be the reason of such eruption also such a big patch got developed only in a days time.
What could the best line of medication suggested.

Hello, thanks for writing to healthcare magic.I can understand your concern.
In my opinion,mirror images patch in short duration of time probably suggest some insect bite reaction.
It is known as blister beetle dermatitis.It will be more easier for me to diagnose if you add photograph of lesion.
History of attending school camp also increases chance of insect bite.
For treatment of this condition a steroid antibiotic cream like fucibet is required.

We were all under-impression of this being a fungal infection, as the kids had a two - three hours long Dance DJ party, all were seating and dancing for full three hours, probably during this due to some clothes holding infection or else some one of the other students having similar infection due to close contact it would have been passed on is what we had in mind. I have two images, due to constraint only one is getting uploaded I would send you both, other than this there are small eruptions under the arms. Similar to how you have boil / eruption on insect bite, I do not have the photo of them right now, however could arrange in some hours. These are different from the one in the arm ( inside part of the elbow which folds ) These marks are identical / mirror image, which is also raising some questions as how can fungal have a same mirror image replica structure.

It is surely insect bite reaction.
Inflammatory response of body which produces such mirror images.You need not to worry much about it.
A mild steroid and antibiotics cream like fucibet applied over affected area will probably help in reducing problem.You can also apply cream over blister area.
In case if there is severe itching,you may give her th.atarax 10 mg at night.
Do not apply soap ,dettol or other antiseptic as this can lead to more irritation.

I fully agree with your diagnosis, I have bought Flucibet, have started this cream from last night. Would follow u p today also.
Wanted to show you the progress, there is a outter ring which is formed and nor turing maroonish red, and even started getting hard and have lifted upwards . Also wanted to send you the photographs of the eruptions under arm so that you can have a better view.
Just wanted to check with the recent today's photograph do you want to add some other medication to your current recommendation of Fucibet ointment
