Brief Answer:
A few blood tests need to be done first.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Most often fever in children is due to viral infections. But such fevers usually last for 7-10 days. Since in your case it has been sustaining for more three weeks, it requires medical attention. A few blood tests need to be done:
* Blood for counts
* Blood for CRP (C-reactive protein)
* Blood for Widal test.

Based on the reports further management can be done. Mere modification of diet will not be helpful. There is no advice about diet to be followed.

Please get the tests done and revert back and I will guide you further.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be due to a viral infection.

Detailed Answer:
I am sorry. I found the other attachments as soon as I had submitted my response. The blood counts are already done and do not indicate a bacterial infection. In such a case you need not get the other test done as it can be safely assumed that it is due to a viral infection. Please be patient and the fever should resolve in a few more days. Till then you have to give paracetamol as required for bringing down the temperature.

Regards
